Courses

At First Choice Fork Truck Training, we offer Novice, Refresher and Conversion forklift training courses. All courses are delivered on-site, and all trainees receive accredited and HSE-recognised certification upon completion. Our standard operating days are Monday-Friday, though non-standard shift patterns and weekend training can be accommodated. Please read our FAQs or contact us for further information.

Novice

Our Novice course is designed for individuals with zero experience with forklift trucks, taking them to a qualification standard that is recognised across the industry, and conforms fully to Health and Safety Executive training guidelines for workplace transport safety training. We specifically conform to Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), Approved Code of Practice for Rider-operated Lift Trucks (ACOP L117), and the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 (HASWA rules and regulations).

Refresher

Our Refresher course is tailored to those that have received forklift truck training in the past, and require a skills update or up-to-date certification. Proof of previous training must be provided to qualify for a Refresher course.

Conversion

Our Conversion courses are designed for certified operators who may be required to operate more than one type of truck. These courses deliver essential training relating to the engineering principles and safe operation practices of specific truck types. Operators must be forklift truck-certified before receiving training on other types of lift trucks.
